TP Series of Professional Terminal Binding Posts
Single Terminals
The Cliff™ range of single terminal binding posts is designed for use in varied applications including professional and consumer audio, test and measurement, power supplies and industrial uses. Terminal spindles and mounting hardware are manufactured from high quality solid brass, either nickel or gold plated. Plastic parts are moulded molded from tough glass reinforced nylon or polypropylene. Mounting hardware is normally supplied unassembled. We can supply parts assembled and packaged for distributors.
Significant Features
- Precision plastic mouldings moldings and stamped or machined brass, nickel, or gold plated metal parts.
- TP6 terminals are intended for higher current applications and feature extra large cross holes for heavy conductors and the Cliff™ castellated knob for coin tightening.
Technical Data
All terminals are supplied with the mounting hardware unassembled as standard, or assembled on request.
The mounting hardware supplied depends on the model ordered.
TP1 and TP2 have a 4BA threaded spindle (UK).
TP6 has a 2BA threaded spindle (UK) as standard and is also available with 10 × 32 UNF threaded spindle, (USA).
TP6CT has a 10 × 32 UNF threaded spindle, (USA).
All models can be supplied with either a nickel or gold plated finish and different stud lengths and styles are available.
Standard colours colors are black and red, however other colours colors are available subject to availability or a minimum order quantity.
We make a number of plastic mounting plates into which we can mount most of these models.
TP1 Single Terminal Binding Posts
Non touch-proof, single models available in different colours. colors. They can accommodate a 4 mm 'banana' plug in the top hole and/or a 2 mm plug in the cross hole. Rated 15 A. Flammability: UL 94 HB minimum. Unassembled parts come with top and bottom insulators, nuts and washers bulk packed.

TP6 Single Terminal Binding Posts
Single terminals intended for higher current applications up to 30 A. They incorporate top and cross holes of ⌀ 4 mm and are available in two stud lengths. These terminals can be fitted into the mounting plate TPP1. TP6 is supplied with a plain threaded spindle rather than solder spill. Flammability: UL 94 HB minimum. Unassembled parts come with top and bottom insulators, nuts and washers bulk packed.

TP9 Single Terminal Binding Posts
A heavy current terminal with a non-rotating head for lettering. The rotating collar is captive and the clamping gap is free from threads. Rated to 30 A. Temperature range from −25 to +85 °C. Weight is approximately 25.5 g. Materials are head: phenolic resin, disc: K resin, post: nickel-plated brass.
