Right-Angled Feedthrough Connectors
RJ45 (CAT5e or CAT6) and HDMI connectivity.
For use with wall boxes, panels and enclosures.
From CLIFF™ Electronics.
CLIFF™ Electronics, leaders in the design, development and manufacture of connectors and test equipment, announce the addition of right-angled connectors to their feedthrough range.
Allows system integrators more flexibility.
The new, right-angled versions are ideal for connections in wall-mounted boxes without the depth for rear entry or where access has to be from the bottom or top. They also reduce the space required for interconnection at the rear of rack panel systems and provide vertical connections for convenient top-to-bottom wiring.
The RAFT (Right-Angle FeedThrough) connectors are available in two widths to assist with product design. The standard width is that of the popular XLR connector, 26 x 31 mm, with a panel cut-out diameter of 24 mm. The compact DualSLIMS have dimensions of 19 × 35.5 mm and fit in to a narrow 17.15 × 22.86 mm panel cut-out.
Connector options available in both sizes include CAT5e RJ45, CAT6 RJ45 and HDMI. DualSLIM versions are available with plastic, natural metal or black metal bodies. XLR cut-out types are available in black plastic. Mounting options include front or rear panel with 2.5 mm plain, 3.2 mm countersunk, M3 threaded or #4-40 UNC threaded holes.
The CLIFF™ feedthrough connectors allow standard, off-the-shelf, connecting cables to be used internally, simplifying and speeding up system assembly and facilitating easy repurposing of equipment.
CLIFF™’s wide range of XLR-format and DualSLIM feedthrough connectors allow designers to integrate audio, video, digital, optical, networking and data feeds into professional equipment for broadcast (studio and mobile), lighting, audio, medical (diagnostic and treatment), instrumentation, control and industrial applications.
The CLIFF™ feedthrough connector range may be mounted on 19″ rack panels with up to 16 standard XLR-format connectors or 20 DualSLIMS. Blank and pre-assembled panels are available.
John Hall, Managing Director of CLIFF™ Electronics, says, “The new, right-angled versions of our feedthrough connectors allows system integrators more flexibility when adding connectivity to studios, public buildings, schools, offices, data-centres and laboratories.”.
