New ST Fibre Fiber Optic Connectors
Widely used ST fibre fiber optic connector now available from CLIFF™ Electronics in the industry-standard, 24 mm diameter, XLR panel cut-out.
With its long held quality standard now accredited to the latest version ISO9001:2015, CLIFF™ Electronics has added the popular and widely used ST fibre fiber optic connector to its highly successful range of 24 mm diameter, XLR-panel cut-out connectors. These straight tip connectors utilise utilize a bayonet-style coupling, enabling a simple twist-on and twist-off installation. The ST connector is one of the most popular connectors for multi-mode networks in buildings and on campuses.
The Cliff™ range of XLR-format standard and feedthrough connectors allows designers to simply integrate audio, video, digital, optical, networking and data feeds into professional equipment for broadcast, lighting, audio, instrumentation and industrial applications.

Cliff™ offer two options; the CP30218 mounted with a countersunk hole and the CP30218X with a plain hole mount. ST connectors use a 2.5 mm ferrule with a round body. The connector stays securely in place with a twist-on / twist-off, bayonet-style mechanism. The Cliff™ ST connector may be front or rear mounted to control panels and is available in a plastic or rugged metal housing.
Cliff™’s XLR-format connectors take advantage of the standard 24 mm diameter panel cut-out widely used in audio and broadcast systems. This is increasingly popular in instrumentation, medical and industrial applications due to the format’s flexibility, security and reliability.
By utilising utilizing the XLR chassis and standard panel cut-out, Cliff™’s wide range of standard and feedthrough connectors can all be mounted on control panels with the same hole punched for every connector required. This simplifies panel design and allows connectors to be mixed-and-matched during assembly as per individual system requirements.
Available versions include RJ45, HDMI, BNC and USB3.0 compliant single and dual versions. Analogue, digital and optical feedthrough connectivity is available in formats including Firewire, HDMI A-to-A and 50 ohm BNC versions, USB2 A-to-B and B-to-A changer sockets and USB3 to USB3 in various configurations. Also available are popular data and ethernet connectors including LC and SC fibre, fiber, (Duplex and Simplex), UTP and FTP RJ45s in both Cat6 and Cat5e, (shielded and unshielded), TOSLINK and RCA phono. phono / cinch.
