Major expansion in USA as CLIFF™ Electronics partners with Newark (Farnell, element14).
CLIFF™ Electronics have established a distribution agreement with Newark Element14. The wide ranging agreement will greatly increase the availability of Cliff™’s products in the Americas and showcase their market leading feedthough connector range.

Newark's business model is focused on the penetration of new markets and large sales area coverage. This will help us to better serve our American customers' growing need for panel-mounted data connectors.”

Two key advantages of the Cliff™ FT series are:
- True feedthrough connection allowing standard cabling to be used at the front and rear, eliminating the need to solder or terminate the connections, simplifying and speeding up assembly.
- The ability to be front or rear mounted on control panels, giving designers maximum flexibility over panel layout and functionality.
Cliff™’s growing range of feedthrough connectors are packaged in the widely used, 24 mm diameter, XLR connector format. They are available in black plastic or with a rugged, die cast aluminium fascia, finished in nickel or black to enhance the high quality, high performance and prestige image of this new product range.
Other models in the range provide digital and optical feedthrough connectivity in formats including USB3 to USB3 in configurations of A-to-A, A-to-B and B-to-A. Also available are popular data and ethernet connectors including LC and SC fibre fiber, (Duplex and Simplex), UTP and FTP RJ45s in both Cat6 and Cat5e, (shielded and unshielded), USB A/B changers, TOSLINK, RCA phono, phono / cinch, HDMI and blanking plates. Further options will continue to be introduced throughout the year and custom design enquiries are welcomed.
All metal and plastic versions share the same features and dimensions. They offer a complete range of cost effective audio, data, and fibre fiber connectors, all of which can be front or rear mounted into industry standard 24 mm diameter XLR connector mounting holes. The new FT series are simple to fix into any panel designed to accept XLR connectors including instrumentation, control and rack panels, wall-plates, etc. For ease of assembly, the Cliff™ FT connectors are available with standard or countersunk mounting holes. Bezels are available in several colours colors to help identify functionality when fitted to a control panel.
Cliff™’s FT series has already found widespread use in a multitude of system integration applications for custom I/O solutions. Typical applications include broadcast, AV installations, systems integration, home theatre, theater, automation, solar power and a growing range of industrial applications including instrumentation, industrial control and data acquisition.
