Intended for any application where a high quality, reliable, locking, touch-proof connector system is required. The CliffCon® range of connectors are tough and durable multi-pole plugs and sockets. Designed for high power applications, contacts are touch-proof and meet the safety requirements of IEC 65/348. Features include an easy, foolproof locking mechanism and high reliability wiping contacts.

General Features

 

 

CliffCon® 4 Pole Power Connectors

Our range of 4 pole Cliffcon®s are available in straight or 90° versions and have now been designated low voltage (blue) and high voltage (red).

 

CliffCon® Blue (LV) is for uses under 120V AC such as speakers, amplifiers, battery chargers and vehicle use. Maximum current at pole is 20A, (30A).

 

CliffCon® Red (HV) is for uses up to 250V AC such as lighting and power connections. Maximum current at pole is 20A, (30A).

 

Only plugs and sockets of the same colour color are compatible, so red plugs cannot be plugged into blue sockets and vice versa. This allows the use of both kinds of connector on the same equipment with no chance of mismatching the connections. Convenient Faston, screw and solder connections. Chassis connectors are air-tight and fit the same cut-outs as our XLR connectors. Our original black version remains available. However, we suggest users change to the HV and LV versions for new designs.

CliffCon® 8 Pole Power Connectors

CliffCon 8 pole connectorsOur CliffCon® 8 pole connectors are intended for any application where a reliable, locking, touch-proof connector system is required and are ideal for lighting, chargers and instrumentation.

 

Rated maximum 30A 250V AC. These have a tough, durable construction with an easy locking mechanism, integral cable clamp and touch-proof contacts to EN60065, IEC348 and EN61010-1.

 

General features are similar to our 4 pole version. The 8 pole line connector is only available in a 90° black version. A dust cover is available for the chassis socket. Connections to the socket may be made by soldering or Faston receptacle and to the plug by soldering or screw.

CliffCon® Miniature ZC Series

Cliffcon Miniature ZC Series ConnectorsOur ZC series, miniature, locking, multi-pole, shielded connectors are available in a range of 2 to 8 pole plugs and sockets. These are primarily intended for low voltage and signal applications. Contacts are tin plated and other metal parts are nickel plated brass or Mazac. There are also 90° versions of the plug available to order.

 

Specification: Rated 1A / Pin - 48V max.
